Hi girls, had my second infusion today and feel good! Am really reining myself in from running round the house doing all those things that need doing!!! My rheummy nurse said the effects of the infusion would last and benefit longer if I paced myself, so after this am off to bed to read and hopefully sleep!!

Also, I had my telephone assessment from our occupational health advisor this morning, as requested by my employer. It was the 2nd one, the first being when I had just started treatment. I didnt hold back and told her everything. Over the weekend I was thinking about this past year, which has been particularly stressful and Im sure this added to the RA. I lost my lovely brother a year ago to leukemia and my poor old husband who had more or less recovered from a mental breakdown got diagnosed with clots in his lungs!!! Anyway, he is better now thank God and although I miss my brother terribly, the initial shock has worn off. So all in all, things can only get better (please!)

Onwards and upwards and dont let the buggers get you down, thats my motto (you can take the girl out of the North but you cant take the North out of the girl!!!)

Take care all, thinking about you all and hope all is well,

lots of love

Heatherxxxxx

Hi Heather

Really pleased the second infusion went well, and pleased that you won t over do it !! A very easy thing to do when you are feeling that much better.

Sorry to hear about all the sadness in your life, and certainly didn t help your RA , I m a strong believer less stress the better ( when possible ).

Stay positive, I really try to, and and everything will continue upwards !

Love Julia xx

hi Heather- good to hear that things are improving. I know what you mean about having to rein yourself in when you feel better. I'm always overdoing it!
sorry to hear about your difficult year- mine's not too good at the moment, but as you say, don't let the buggers get down .

Take care

Oh Heather that expression is SO true- my parents are both Geordies and even after 40years of living in London, the North is still in them!

I am truly so sorry about all the tragedy in your life, it must have been harrowing for you. I am so happy your husband is better.

Wonderful news that you feel so good after the infusion - be careful though and rest!

Love,

Amanda

Hi Heather,

I'm so sorry for the awful things that have happened to you in the past year. I have no doubt the effects will have had an impact on your RA. I really hope the next twelve months are filled only with good things!

I'm glad the infusion went well and I hope you got a sympathetic ear from the Occupational Helath person at work. Make sure you get what you need.

x x

Hi Heather,

Good to see you're keeping your spirits up and that the infusion is is helping. So sorry to hear about the tragedies in your life and can understand how difficult it must have been for you over the past year. I think we all have our ups and downs in life and by trying to keep a positive mental attitude helps to keep the blues away.

Hi Heather

Glad to hear that the infusion has helped so much, try not to overdo things, though. It's not surprising that you were feeling down after your terrible year, I think it definitely impacts on RA.

Here's hoping this year will be loads better for you.

Hi girls thank you so much for your lovely comments and thoughts. I went back into work today and have got my new chair which is all singing/dancing I just need someone to show me how to use it otherwise I'll probably press an ejector button or something!! Ive got a meeting with my line manager tomorrow as our boss has asked her some questions to ask me ie what causes flares etc? Good question I said, so im going to dig out my nras information and hopefully there is something in there! Im sure as you allsay stress is a contributory factor.

Thank you all again,

lots of love

Oh Heather I am so thrilled to hear you are feeling good! Long may it continue.

I don't think we ever quite get over the loss of someone close but we adapt to a new way of living with it.
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.
